										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PCU Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Test System is a compact easy to operate ultra-fine leak test system. This system embodies PCU&#8217;s field-proven testing technology in combination with modern electronic control, compact industrial design, and simplified operator use. The result is a durable and dependable operation with accurate and repeatable process control. The operator interface panel allows the technician to view the cycle status as it progresses. Once the system is configured, the operator is only required to load/unload the product and initiate the test.</p>
<p>Utilizing a high vacuum chamber, the test system is used to test pre-charged parts for leaks which are too small to be detected via vacuum or pressure decay tests. It replaces the subjective bubble leak test while eliminating hours of required test time. Typical configuration consists of pressurized air supply for high vacuum chamber door operation along with a 460/3/60 power supply to minimize system current draw. Once the chamber door is closed, the roughing pump evacuates the chamber in preparation for the ultra-fine leak test. After part leak test is complete, the chamber is vented, the part may be removed and the system resets for the next test.</p>

<p>The rotary index table is setup so that the early stations are utilized for component assembly and the latter stations utilize various testing technologies to verify the assembly&#8217;s integrity and may perform a final fluid fill. Each station is designed for independent operation and is able to be individually configured.</p>
<p>Typical configuration consist of a pressurized air supply for articulation and operation along with a 460/3/60 power supply to minimize system current draw. The component assembly stations are fed with bowl feeders and configured with a pick and place arm. The assembly is then fed into an integral mass spectrometer for ultra fine leak testing. The mass spectrometer utilizes a high vacuum chamber to facilitate the automated leak test. After part leak test is complete, the helium is removed from the part and the part is prepared for final fluid fill. The final stages are used to check the completed assembly with vision systems and run testing. Finally, the part may be removed from the index table manually or with an automated articulating assembly.</p>

PCU soldering machines are custom-designed to the user&#8217;s specifications depending on the individual application. The machine can be configured to solder capillary tubes of 1/4 5/16&#8243; or 3/8&#8243; diameter. Tube feed rate is adjustable from 120 to 400 inches per minute. The machine is PLC controlled with customer choice of PLC type and displays for machine program setup.</p>
<p>Use of the PCU soldering machine only requires the operator to take the straight pre-cut capillary tubing and suction line from the supply rack place them into the carriage on the loading table clamp them into position and push the leading ends into the soldering section of the machine. The rest of the operation is completely automatic. The soldering assembly is fed from the machine and deposited onto a storage tray. It is not necessary for the operator to come near the soldering section of the machine at any time.&#8221;</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PCU Wind Tunnel is designed to provide various thermal loads to any thermal management system for fully loaded dynamic testing. This system combines PCU&#8217;s field proven testing technology with the flexibility to match a wide range of thermal requirements. The test system employs an operator interface which allows the specified control properties for thermal loading to be adjusted without reconfiguring the system. Utilizing the latest in PID controls, the system is able to provide a fully flexible operation with accurate and repeatable process control. Once the system is configured, the operator is only required to load/unload the product and initiate the testing.</p>
<p>In addition to the wind tunnel, the test system can also be configured to supply liquid utilities as required to dissipate any thermal needs. The test system also includes data collection which can be utilized to log inlet/outlet conditions along with temperature profiling as needed. Depending on the specific needs, the wind tunnel can be set up for either open or closed loop operation.</p>
<p>Typical configurations consist of a tunnel with a flow meter, proportional flow control valve and or a blower to provide the required mass flow. The flow is conditioned with dryers, chillers or heaters as required conditioning the mass flow before and after the test station. Chillers and heaters along with proportional valves are, also, used to provide liquid mass flow at the desired levels for secondary flow management. The test may be run from several minutes to several hours. Additional power utilities required are a compressed air supply and 460/3/60 electrical power.</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>The Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detection System is used to identify both large (gross) and small leaks in a product. The system pressurizes a product with dry air and then completes a gross leak check to determine if a large leak exists. The machine checks for gross leaks using a pressure decay method during which the product is pressurized to 350 PSIA. The machine then isolates the pressure source and monitors the pressure in the product for five seconds. If the pressure decays more than 20 PSIA, the machine will abort the cycle and activate an alarm to inform the operator that the product has a gross leak. If the gross leak check cycle passes, the machine will evacuate the product and then pressurize it with helium to a pressure of 150 PSIA. The machine will then evacuate the surrounding chamber and perform a helium leak check by monitoring the chamber area using an LDS3000 Modular Leak Detector (manufactured by INFICON). If the product passes the helium leak check, the system will indicate a successful test. If the product fails, the system will move to Standby mode and allow the operator to manually check for leaks using an on-board sniffer. At the end of the cycle, the Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) will display the cycle data.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PCU combination Proof Test and Tracer Gas Charge Stand is an efficient way to proof test and administer tracer gas into the unit to be leak tested. This stand is complete with tool and hose assembly (nominally eight feet long). It is intended that this stand will be located next to an assembly line and ahead of the leak test area. The tool terminates with a PCU Series 250 coupler.</p>
<p>The operator connects the PCU tube quick connect (TQC) couplers and process hoses then presses the start cycle pushbutton. The product is filled with the proof test gas. If the product fails to achieve the required proof test pressure the product is rejected (red light) and will not be filled with helium. After the product passes the proof test phase of the cycle the proof test gas is exhausted from the product into the atmosphere. The product is evacuated to remove air prior to the product being filled with the tracer gas. After the product is verified that it is at pressure the machine will indicate (yellow light) to the operator to begin manual sniffing. The operator manually sniffs all joints using a tracer gas leak detector. If a leak is detected a red light will illuminate. A green light will illuminate signaling an acceptable test. After all joints have been sniffed the operator depresses the tracer gas recovery pushbutton. The tracer gas will be recovered from the product by the plant wide tracer gas system; otherwise the tracer gas will be vented to atmosphere. The operator removes the process hoses and PCU TQC couplers. The operator finally installs the rubber plug, inserts the hypodermic needle into the rubber plug and fills the product with a low pressure shipping charge.</p>
